A Taste of Nostalgia with Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

In the wake of the recent Game Developers Conference, Bethesda announced a standalone prequel expansion in their Wolfenstein franchise.
Titled Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, the add-on will utilize the same gameplay architecture and engine as last year's Wolfenstein: The New Order. Old Blood though is set some time earlier in protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz's life. Focussing on more old school settings, Old Blood will have you fight through apparently two new missions and revisit the famous Castle Wolfenstein to once again get rid of the Nazi threat.
Judging from the released debut trailer, Old Blood will once again feature the style of The New Order putting a sci-fi twist on World War 2 gadgets. As of now, Old Blood looks very cinematic and like simple fun with its B-Movie style storyline, presentation and old school gunplay. It should be exactly what Wolfenstein fans want. Check out the trailer for yourself below.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will be available as a standalone expansion for download on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 5, 2015. A retail version will also be available for PC and PS4.
